YEAR 4 NEON + R: DATA ANALYSIS WORKSHOP
La Joya, New Mexico
The Year 4 NEON + R: Data Analysis Workshop was held on October 23 - 27, 2024. Emerge fellows traveled to La Joya, New Mexico to stay at the University of New Mexico (UNM) - Sevilleta Field Station where they spent three full days and four nights. Days were spent mining and analyzing aquatic NEON data with Program R. Fellows worked in teams from the OCC Meetings, and enjoyed a field trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Guest speakers included Stephanie Parker (EAB & NEON), Cassandra Maria Luz Miller, and Timberlee Castillo (UNM students).
Emerge funded 2 undergraduate students, 11 graduate students, and 3 Emerge program allumni (total: 16) to participate. This workshop was led by Co-PI Dan McGarvey with support from Co-PI Tina Mendez, and Breanna Ondich (Emerge Program Coordinator).
